Crisis Resources

If you or someone else is experiencing a mental health emergency or is in immediate danger, do not use this website, email, or our online inquiry form to seek emergency assistance.

Journey Counseling Center does not provide crisis services, and our website, email, and voicemail are not monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you or someone you care about needs immediate support, the following resources are available 24 hours a day.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

If you are experiencing emotional distress, a mental health crisis, or thoughts of suicide, help is available 24 hours a day.

Call or text 988

Visit 988lifeline.org to chat online with a trained crisis counselor.

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides free, confidential support and can help connect you with local crisis resources.

Call 911

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, has a life-threatening medical emergency, or cannot safely remain where you are, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.

Current Clients

If you are a current client of Journey Counseling Center and are experiencing an urgent mental health concern outside of your scheduled appointment, please use the crisis resources listed above rather than emailing your therapist, leaving a voicemail, or submitting a website inquiry. These communication methods are not monitored continuously and should not be used during a crisis or emergency.

Questions That Are Not Emergencies

If your question is not urgent and you would like information about becoming a client or scheduling an appointment, please visit our Contact page or submit a new client inquiry. We’ll respond as soon as reasonably possible during normal business hours.

If you are unsure whether your situation is an emergency, call 988. A trained crisis counselor can help assess your situation and connect you with the most appropriate level of care.

Looking for Ongoing Support?

If you’re not experiencing an emergency but would like to speak with a therapist, we’re here to help. Journey Counseling Center provides therapy for adults, teens, and young adults throughout Michigan.
